SUP Instructor Course Level 3

This one day course, certified by Atlantic Crest, will give you the training and skills needed to lead groups on SUP adventures in sheltered water. We will take you through Levels 1, 2, and 3 throughout the day with a combination of classroom and in-water training.

Level 1: Covers basic skills, providing the candidate with the skills to safely plan a session and understand the safety elements. Basic board design, maintenance and storage are covered with significant emphasis on personal protective equipment (PPE) and buoyancy aids.

Level 2: Focused on SUP safety skills, providing the candidate with the skill to manage a group of paddlers, give guidance, and training in rescue capability.

Level 3: On completion of Level 3, candidates will be able to provide Level 1 basic skills training and guide around a flat water environment. The instructor will run a practice session, showing competence through scenario exercises.

Pre-requisites: Valid first aid certificate and experience in paddlesports and SUP

Validity: 3 years with a valid first aid certificate
