Recent tragedies have highlighted the need for thorough and effective management of school trips. Indeed, schools are now advised by government to appoint off-site activity coordinators.
This 2 day course concentrates on the need to plan, manage, and evaluate any off-site visit. it is approved and certified by the Royal Geographical Society, leading to an accredited qualification in 'Off-Site Safety Management' (National Qualification Framework Level 3).
It is designed to provide the certificate holder with an understanding of the safety systems and statutory requirements need when planning to take young people off-site. It covers everything from a day trip to a local museum to a month-long expedition to Sarawak. The course is essential for any teacher taking students on any off-site visit and provided a unique insight into the safe running of school trips.
Your trainer will be a qualified and experienced technician in outdoor activities. The March course will be held in Surrey.
