Whether you are a complete novice with thoughts that GPS may be a useful navigational tool, someone who has never managed to get to grips with the technology, or a GPS user who just wants to learn more, we have a course that will suit your needs and at a venue not too far from where you live. Picking your way through the minefield of conflicting advice about the best GPS for your needs is not easy. The smart way to do this is to learn how the system works before you invest.
Our one day course is all about the basic use of GPS. How the GPS system works, correct GPS setup, how to create and use marks, waypoints and routes, followed by an introduction to using the power of mapping software to make GPS route planning easy.
The day reviews basics and moves on to the use of routes and trackbacks in the field. The course ensures that you will be able to transfer coordinates and routes from a GPS to a digital mapping software system like Memory-Map.
