Recent tragedies have highlighted the need for thorough and effective management of school trips. Indeed, schools are now advised by government to appoint off-site activity coordinators.
This day course concentrates on the need to plan, manage and evaluate any off site visit. It is approved and certificated by the RGS, leading to an accredited qualification in ‘Off-Site Safety Management’ (National Qualification Framework Level 3).
This course is designed to provide the certificate holder with an understanding of the safety systems and statutory requirements needed when planning to take young people off-site. It covers everything from a day trip to a local museum to a month long expedition in Sarawak The course is essential for any teacher taking students on any off site visit.
